About Us
Duncraig Playgroup Inc. is a not-for-profit community organisation that has been operating for over 27 years. We run two programmes: Playgroup and Playfun 3's Pre-Kindy.
Playgroup
Playgroup is where you can meet other parents and children in your local area in a friendly fun-filled environment.
All children from birth to school age are welcome to attend the sessions. Playgroup involves attending a nominated session with your child in a group with other parents and their children.
Our facilities offer play opportunities to maximise any weather conditions.
Playfun 3's Pre-Kindy
Playfun 3’s Pre-Kindy is run by qualified educators and is especially designed for children to attend in their year before Kindergarten.
Our goal is to promote the social and developmental growth of all children. Our focus is to embed The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and The National Quality Framework (NQF) into all aspects of the centres planning and documentation to ensure an engaging and meaningful learning experience for your child.

We cover areas which include language & literacy; mathematical learning; expressive arts; outdoor & physical activity; environment & sustainability; family & community; science & technology; independence & responsibility; social and emotional development...and more.
The EYLF outcomes are: Children have a strong sense of identity; Children are connected with and contribute to their world; Children have a strong sense of wellbeing; Children are confident and involved learners; Children are effective communicators.
Our Families
We recognise that parents are a child's first teachers and nurture the relationship formed between families and educators.
Together with the educators, parents support and enhance their children's learning, development, and socialisation to provide the best possible start to a child's life. We respect the families needs, beliefs and values and encourage open-door communication whilst fostering the children's learning and wellbeing.
Administration
Duncraig Playgroup Inc. is administered by a team of educators, office staff and volunteer committee members.
The Committee is made up of parents whose children attend either Playgroup or Playfun 3's. The Executive Committee is responsible for supporting staff with the running of our groups and maintaining the high quality of our community organisation. Our Service Manager is the first point of contact for any enquiries that may arise.
